2026 / Personal / Marketplace
Vroom is a car marketplace for Kenya: buyers search, compare and save cars, check a price guide, book test drives and message dealers; dealers manage their stock, enquiries and spare parts, and pay for plans and featured listings with Paystack.
Overview
The challenge
Buying a car online means hunting across scattered listings with no fair way to compare cars or know a fair price, while dealers juggle enquiries across phone calls and chats.
What I built
One marketplace where buyers search, compare, check a price guide and book test drives, and dealers run their stock, enquiries, spare parts and billing from one dashboard.
How it works
Step 1
Buyer

Step 2
Vroom
Test drives, messages and alerts
Step 3
Dealer
Stock, enquiries and billing
Key features
Filter cars, compare them side by side, save favourites and get alerts.
Typical prices by make and model, so buyers know what is fair.
Buyers book test drives and message dealers in real time.
A parts catalogue, plus part requests that dealers can answer.
Dealers pay for plans and featured listings with Paystack.
Dealers upload their stock from a spreadsheet in one go.
